PRE-GAME MODE

Once the initial team set-up is complete it is just a matter of adding each new game as you go. There is room to track up to 4 teams in the 4 different coloured bars under Today's Team. The initial forward line combinations and defense pairings can be set and can be adjusted before each game as the coach makes changes, players are away or injured, and the season progresses. You even have the flexibility, if desired, to change the lines on the bench during in-game live action mode to make changing entire lines on the fly that much easier.

GAMEPLAY TRACKER

This is where it all happens. The premise is to track what each player is doing in real time. If they are on the ice, drag them on the ice from the bench. If they are in the penalty box, drag them to the penalty box. If they take a shot, record the location on the ice and select "shot" from the drop down box. The gold disks on the ice are used to track the players on the ice. No need to constantly move them when they are on the ice but it is generally a good idea to have forwards in the offensive zone as that is where the shots and goal specific location are important and you won't have to move each player very far. The black disk is used for tracking the opponents shot and goal location only (and opponent penalties). Touching the grey bar will change the entire forward line or defensive pairing at once or simply drag the player from the bench onto the gold disk player that they are replacing. If it is a center replacing another center then you also have the option of just clicking the number on the bench and it will replace that position on the ice. Don't forget to hit the start and stop button to keep the game time clock in line with the real game clock. It's that easy. The red button in the bottom right hand corner has more option where you can change ends and hide shot locations if preferred.

POST-GAME DETAILS

The Post-Game tab is where all data tracked is automatically, ready for viewing and emailing to team coaches and staff. In the players Summary tab, all stats are displayed for the forwards including the time-on-ice stat by player. These results are for the individual game selected, there is also a full year-to-date summary available in the STATS tab. The only thing left to do here is confirm the goals and assists with the official game sheet. You can quickly add or subtract goals and assists by player and the stats become final. The "email summary" option is a quick and easy way to get the results to team officials. The team managers can then download the stats on a computer to track and manipulate the data in multiple ways or for sharing on a team web page or communication of selected stats or all stats with parents and players.
