Welcome to the
Retina Case Review
Platform App!
What is the Retina Case Review Platform?
It is a local server-based application designed for iPads that allows you to enhance advisory board collaboration amongst HCPs and your Presenter
Key features include:
- The ability to upload and display cases for Group- and Presenter-led discussion
- A whiteboard that allows Groups and Presenters to annotate case images in real time and share their analysis with other participants during the event via the iPad and TV monitor.
What do you need to use the App during an event?
- A dedicated Lenovo computer (provided) which will serve as the local area network (LAN) server. Group and Presenter iPads will access the app using the server, rather than from the Web. This will eliminate performance issues related to the venue’s WiFi.
- An AirPort Extreme base station to plug into the server using an Ethernet cable (provided). The AirPort Extreme will help create a LAN for the event.

IMPORTANT: Creating Events and Adding Cases with the LAN
- After you have created an event and added cases via the app, make sure to connect the Lenovo laptop to the Internet (WiFi) so the cases can be migrated from the live application to the local server. Bang Albino will execute the data transfer until the auto-sync feature is added to the system.
Prior to the event, you will need to contact Bang Albino to transfer data from the Web-based version of the application
- If you are adding or changing cases on the day of the event, you can still sync cases on site or make the changes directly on the local server (laptop). To do so, turn on the local server, click on the chrome browser and type into the address bar: 10.0.1.10/bosnew. Next, follow the same steps to add/assign cases as you would on the Web version of the App.
- NOTE: A WiFi connection is only needed for the LAN for syncing purposes and for our support team to access the laptop when needed.
