one of the most pressing but least discussed health concerns facing the country today.
Through gripping interviews with patients and healthcare providers,Deal with it documents the despair
and the hope of everyday Canadians struggling to navigate their way through systemic and societal hurdles
to deal with a chronic viral disease for which there’s not only an effective treatment – there’s also a cure.
The company’s first film, “Life After Mental Illness,” documented the inspiring story of mental health advocate,
publisher and communicator, Bill MacPhee, and his lifelong battle with schizophrenia. “Life After Mental Illness”
debuted at Hot Docs in Toronto in 2007 and has screened at 20 health documentary festivals around the world.
To date, over 90,000 DVD copies of the film have been distributed worldwide.
