Special Guest Speakers

Dr. Kyriaki Sideri, MD
Dr. Kyriaki Sideri is a specialist in Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta. She was recruited in 2013 from the United Kingdom, where she had a position
as a consultant allergist at the University Hospital of South Manchester with the team of Dr. Adnan Custovic.

Her primary interests include allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, food allergy, drug allergy, venom allergy, urticaria and angioedema. Dr. Sideri is an expert on mastocytosis and has participated as an author at the World Allergy Organization publication for asthma comorbidities and differential diagnosis. She has developed international collaborations and contributed in studies for the role of neurotransmitters and mast cells in autism spectrum disorders, the aeroallergen sensitization in Alberta and the role of skin prick test in food allergy and drug allergy.
Dr. Jaggi Rao, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Jaggi Rao is a board-certified dermatologist licensed in both Canada and the United States. He is also a certified cosmetic and laser surgeon. Dr. Rao serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine
and the previous Dermatology Residency Program Director at the University of Alberta. He is also the founder and Team Lead for ConsultDERM™, a popular and successful teledermatology platform which helps physicians and patients in several Canadian provinces and territories.

In addition to the daily training of residents, medical students and nurses, Dr. Rao is a very popular speaker for the medical community, delivering dozens of lectures a year at local, national and international meetings. He is an accomplished author, peer reviewer and associate editor for prominent medical journals, and has won numerous clinical, leadership and academic awards, including the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA) Teaching Award of Excellence.
